Blamod Reborn was created by Sourceruns members as a Half-Life 2 mod, focused on speedrunning.
I started maintaining the project in 2016. The primary focus i’ve chosen is to showcase all the different bugs and quirks that were created by Valve’s developers over many years of Half-Life 2 evolution. To some extent this project was a success.
All this stopped by a sudden update of HL2 in 2019 (? i can’t remeber), when Valve fixed a bunch of bugs, including a long-standing issue of unpredictable loading times. Unfortunately they did not update any of the precompiled components used by Blamod and i had to port everything to newer SDK if i wanted to include the improvements.
I’ve never finished that process.
Recently i’ve moved Blamod Reborn repository to GitLab.
The intent is to shift the focus torward randomization and improvement of all the existing features. The first priority is to re-release the project with newer SDK. I’ll try to publish something later in 2023.
Also: Github version is archived and will never be updated again.
